Evolution to a Data-Centric Enterprise is Change
Although often overlooked, change management is a big part of every digital transformation. The two most obvious reasons for this are that process changes and retraining to support higher levels of digital competency are fundamental to this type of business revolution and neither of these things come without some disruption to business as usual. The incremental value generated in the new data-driven enterprise far outweighs the costs of getting there, but there are costs incurred as we manage these major changes and it is a mistake to underestimate or worse yet ignore them.
The objective is to properly set expectations for change and prepare adequately to manage it over time.
