Nothing is more core to the digital tranformation of any company into a data-centric enterprise than process. Practically every value proposition offered by this evolution is rooted in process improvement of one form or another. Successful digital transformations focus on how a business can execute the transactions that create revenue and profit more efficiently. Of course, we should also find and fix processes that are not creating repeatable value for the busineess in predictable ways. Often this takes the form of process automation, but just as often it can be as simple as process conflation and streamlining. Certainly these process improvements are frequently enabled by new tools or better application and integration of tools that you already possess. We caution our clients, however, to remember that the real value is the process improvement and the value that creates not the fancy software solutions or other tools that frequently get us there.
